Conversion & Reverse Engineering

PDF to CAD conversion services

Legacy PDFs, scans and paper drawings redrawn as native, editable CAD files.

The problem

Some of your product line only exists as scanned drawings or PDFs. Every change means redrawing by hand, and nobody can reuse the geometry.

What we do

  • Redrawing from PDF, scans and paper prints
  • Output as native 2D (DWG) or 3D (SOLIDWORKS) files
  • Your title block, layers and standards applied
  • Flags for unclear dimensions or conflicts in the source

What you get

  • Native DWG or SOLIDWORKS files
  • A list of source issues found during conversion

You own the deliverables, in native files, once paid. Your engineers review and approve all work.

Good fit when…

  • Drawings exist only as PDF or paper
  • You want to bring an older product line into your CAD system
  • You plan to automate products that have no native files

How it works

How a project runs

The full process
  1. Step 1: Scope

A call, then a written Statement of Work with scope, schedule and price.

  2. Step 2: Kickoff

You share standards, templates and files. We confirm the plan.

  3. Step 3: Work overnight

Send work at the end of your day. Review it at the start of the next.

  4. Step 4: Review weekly

Weekly alignment against the SOW. Anything off-scope is fixed free.

Questions about PDF / Paper to CAD

Is the conversion traced or redrawn?

Redrawn. Files are built as clean, dimensioned CAD, not traced images, so they can be edited like any other drawing.
